Kernow Connect

By 15th June 2021No Comments

In March 2021 we announced that the Support Services for young people in Cornwall were changing and the Your Way Partnership would no longer be delivering the following services:

  • Community Development (Youth Work and Participation)
  • Emotional Resilience (Counselling and Mentoring)
  • Information Advice and Guidance

Whilst We, The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and our partners; Cornwall Rural Community Charity, Kooth and Young People Cornwall were sad to see these services come to an end, we were aware of an exciting new partnership between Cornwall Council and Action for Children which began on 1st April 2021.

The new service is named Kernow Connect and is a needs led service for young people aged 11 to 19 and up to 25 with SEND.

Action for Children are now providing a number of Universal, Targeted and Specialist services in partnership with the Dreadnought Centre who will be providing specialist emotional and mental health support to young people across Cornwall.
