What is HeadStart?
It’s a partnership programme, led by Cornwall Council and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, which develops resilience and mental wellbeing in young people.
We deliver the community strand of the programme under Your Way, focusing on preventing the onset of mental ill health.
Our offer
We’ll directly support you whether you’re a young person aged 10-16, parent, carer, volunteer or community group through our Youth and Community Facilitators.
Our Youth Facilitators will support you with your mental health and emotional wellbeing whilst our Community Facilitators will provide you with links in your community, training and advice around mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Please note: The HeadStart Kernow facilitator service in Cornwall is due to close in August 2022 and due to the average length of support offered to young people and numbers of young people already on caseload, we won’t be able to take additional young people past 15th March 2022.
