“To any young person thinking of doing HeadStart Sessions, I’d say just go for it, over time you get more comfortable with the person you’re talking to, there’s no judgement or anything. It gives you free space to talk to someone who doesn’t know you personally, so it’s easier to speak about issues you’re facing.”

Referral Closure

From March 15th 2022, the HeadStart Facilitator contract will no longer be able to accept referrals into the one-to-one support service, commonly known as the Youth Facilitator support.

The HeadStart Kernow facilitator service in Cornwall is due to close in August 2022 and due to the average length of support offered to young people and numbers of young people already on caseload, we won’t be able to take additional young people past this point in time.
